There's an abundance of information out there on how to paint furniture. Sadly, much of this is either too vague, too complicated or simply poor advice.
Instead, learn the best way to paint your furniture from a professional and by starting off on the right foot you are sure to achieve marvellous results in the comfort of
your own home.
This is a beginner's course suitable for absolute beginners or those with a basic understanding of furniture painting. Clementene will teach you a range of classic and artistic skills so you can confidently transform your own old, outdated or modern, plain furniture into beautiful and unique pieces which you can be proud of.

This a fun, interactive and hands-on class. All you need to bring is plenty of enthusiasm, a pen and paper if you want to make notes and clothes you don't mind getting the odd splash of paint on!
In the morning Clementene will teach you the basic furniture painting techniques, including:
* creating a flat finish for a clean, contemporary look
* texturing the paint with varying brush strokes for an
antique vintage look
* applying clear and dark waxes and mixing colour
* washes, tinted waxes and glazes
* two-colour distressing by layering two contrasting
coloured paints on top of each other
* cracking the paint with a craquelure medium for a
naturally aged patina
In the afternoon she will show you the advanced techniques
for creating more stylised finishes, such as:
* gilding with metallic gold and silver leaf
* dècoupage using decorative cut out images
* stencilling layering patterns on top of each other
£140 for a full day course (10 AM - 4 PM)
The price includes all materials as well as refreshments served midday, including delicious sandwiches, cakes, biscuits (from Bettys), tea, coffee and fresh juice
